More fan art!  This is a screencap of an actual NES ROM made by Kyle Dougherty. RAD!! You can scroll Mr. Robotube around a land of 8-bit wonder, and cycle the colors until your eyeballs explode and you lose control of your bowels.  This marks Mr. Robotube’s first official appearance on the NES.

Want the ROM for yerself?  Go git it!

Simple enough for ya?!

I have done a lot of thinking. I’ve decided that because we’re a very small indie developer, we want a very simple site. I think I used to think it was cool to make Robotube look gigantic, full of busy employees with a lush, swanky office space…but it’s just not like that. We struggle, we work hard, we have fun being creative, but we’re not a big corporation.

I was recently interviewed by AOL News and asked what I thought of the Indie dev scene, and it made me think of where I am, what I do, and the friends I have made in this industry. And I realized that I love being small and indie. Despite not having made much money, despite not being some big-name game industry celebrity, I have enjoyed every minute of what I’ve done, and I am immensely proud of the fact that Robotube is still around, and still keeps a nice spicy fire burning in my guttyworks, though that could just be my acid reflux. Not sure.

Robotube is small, and it remains awesome nonetheless. We make cool, fun games. We’re good people. And this is our new, simple website that has things on it that we hope you’ll read. Robotube remains what it’s been since 1999: a passion. A deep love for gaming and creating games. And that’s what we want to continue to do.

That is all. Please continue or begin to enjoy Robotube, whichever the case may be.
